Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978, was the child of Asalia Nazario, along with Aridio Saldana. Her father was Dominican while her mother was Puerto Rican. Her family was raised by her mother who lived in Queens. After she turned 10, she along with her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe's interest in dance was piqued while they were in the Dominican.
